2. Our collection and storage of personal data as well as nature and purpose of its use

Personal data is specific information about personal and factual circumstances concerning an identified or identifiable natural person.

In the following we inform you if and when your data and personal data are collected:

a) When visiting our website

When you access our website www.qtec-eurep.com, the browser used on your device will automatically send information to our website’s server. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file.

As a rule, the IP address of your requesting computer is not fully collected or saved by us. Collection/storage only occurs in truncated and thus anonymized form, which means that the IP address no longer constitutes personal data under data protection law.

The following information will be recorded without any action on your part and stored until automatic deletion:

  • Website from which the access occurs (referrer URL),
  • Browser used and if relevant, the operating system of your computer and the name of your access provider.

The legal basis for our data processing is Art. 6 (1) Sentence 1 (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is derived from the purposes of data collection listed above.

Under no circumstances will we use the data collected for the purpose of drawing conclusions regarding your personal identity.

b) When you contact us via email or phone

If you contact us via email or our phone number provided for this purpose, we will save the data you communicate in order to respond to your inquiries. Data processing for the purpose of contact with us occurs according to Art. 6 (1) Sentence 1 (a) GDPR on the basis of your voluntarily granted consent. We erase the data involved in this context after storage is no longer required, or restrict the processing if legal retention obligations apply.

5. Google Web Fonts

External fonts known as Google Fonts are used on our website. Google Fonts is a service of Google Inc. (“Google”). These web fonts are embedded by means of accessing a server, generally a Google server in the USA. This communicates to the server which of our Internet pages you have visited. The IP address of the browser on the website visitor’s device is also saved by Google.

  • Pursuant to Art. 16 GDPR, to request rectification and/or completion for inaccurate or incomplete personal data we have stored concerning you;
  • Pursuant to Art. 17 GDPR, to request the erasure of personal data we have stored concerning you, unless this processing is required or exercising the right of freedom of expression and information, for compliance with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest, or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims;
  • Pursuant to Art. 18 GDPR, to obtain the restriction of processing concerning your personal data, insofar as you contest the accuracy of the personal data, the processing is unlawful but you oppose the erasure of the personal data and we no longer require the data, but you require it for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims, or if you have objected to processing pursuant to Article 21 GDPR;

Insofar as we justify the processing of your personal data by the pursuit of our legitimate interests according to Art. 6 (1) Sentence 1 (f) GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR as long as there are grounds relating to your particular situation or if the objection is against direct marketing. In the latter case, you have a general right to object which we will enforce without requiring you to indicate a particular situation.

8. Data security

When you visit our website, we use the common SSL method (Secure Socket Layer) in conjunction with the highest level of encryption that is supported by your browser. Generally, this is 256 bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256 bit encryption, we rely on 128 bit v3 technology instead. You can tell whether an individual page on our website is encrypted on transmission from the key symbol or closed lock symbol in your browser’s lower status bar.

Apart from this, we implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data against accidental or deliberate manipulation, partial or total loss, destruction or against unauthorized access by third parties.
